General Vann is a distinguished native son of Holmes County, where he cultivated a deep-rooted commitment to community and education. After attending the public schools of Holmes County, he went on to make a lasting impact in his hometown.

Throughout his career, General Vann has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to the growth and development of Holmes County. Notably, he has served on the Board of Trustees of Holmes Community College, providing leadership and guidance to the institution as it strives to provide quality education to the community.

Additionally, General Vann has held the esteemed position of President of the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce. In this role, he has played a pivotal part in fostering economic development, promoting local businesses, and championing initiatives that benefit the county's residents.
